The Los Santos Police Department has announced the addition of new 2019 Ford Police Interceptor Sedans to its fleet, marking a significant upgrade as the department phases out aging vehicles.
“These vehicles have been added to our fleet to promote fuel efficiency and offer new functionality and safety features,” the LSPD said in a news release.
The new patrol cars feature advanced communication systems and improved durability, all aimed at providing officers with the tools they need to respond effectively to incidents.
This upgrade is part of the city’s commitment to modernizing law enforcement resources amid growing concerns about the department's aging fleet and increasing demands for public safety.
As previously reported, the department has faced issues with aging vehicles in its fleet.
The new patrol cars are expected to arrive at local stations in the coming weeks, with officers already undergoing training to utilize the vehicles’ advanced features.
