EXCLUSIVE: Rat jumps out of Los Santos taxi, passenger freaks out and turns the Richman Hotel into a circus

If you thought your taxi ride was a bit of a gamble, think again. One unlucky passenger got more than they bargained for when a rat made a surprise appearance in their ride from Los Santos International Airport to The Richman Hotel, and the entire situation quickly spiraled into absolute chaos.

It all started when the passenger, who was on their way to the luxurious Richman neighborhood, settled into the back of a Downtown Cab Co. vehicle for a peaceful ride. But things took a wild turn when the squeal of a rat echoed through the cab as they neared the hotel.

The passenger, who wished to remain anonymous, told Weazel News that they heard some unsettling scratching noises just moments before pulling up to The Richman Hotel entrance – but it wasn’t until they got out of the car that they realized the source of the commotion was none other than a furry intruder.

As the passenger stepped out, a rat reportedly leaped out of the cab and onto the roof, sending the rider into full-blown panic mode. A witness describes the scene as “a full meltdown”—the passenger was so startled, they nearly fainted! Meanwhile, the driver? Totally unbothered, just shrugged it off like it was a regular Tuesday in the city.

Cue the screams. Cue the chaos. As if things weren’t already out of control, the rat made its way toward the hotel entrance, where hotel bellhops scrambled to try and capture the creature. But—plot twist—the bellhops made the situation worse, as their efforts only spooked the rat even more, sending it darting inside the hotel, causing other guests to scream and run for cover. The entire scene was described as "straight out of a sitcom", but hey, this is Los Santos, where you just never know what’s gonna happen next!

In response to the “rodent-ridden” fiasco, Downtown Cab Co., the company responsible for the taxi, told Weazel News they are "fully aware" of the situation. They’ve since disinfected the involved vehicle and even reached out to the panic-stricken passenger to issue a full refund for the ride. At least the rider got some cash back after getting an experience they’ll never forget!

So if you're in the market for a cab ride in Los Santos, maybe bring some rat poison... or at least keep your eyes peeled.
